CROUD END
2 BED FLAT RENOVATION
This cosy 2 bedroom flat in Crouch End had beautiful bones, but was in need of a bit of love. The client had lived there for several years, and had not yet put their stamp on the space, so was excited to finally start this process.
Given that this renovation was some years in the making, the client had some core ideas for us to work with from the get go. They loved tongue and groove joinery and panelling, and wanted the spaces to feel calm and warm. It was also essential that we blended the old and new, to ensure the scheme stood the test of time, and sat comfortably within a period property.
“This collaboration felt like a harmonious meeting of minds. My designer encouraged me to explore new ideas, while ensuring the final outcome was perfectly tailored to my needs.”

When it came to the build, it certainly wasn’t simply a “lick of paint” job. The plumbing, electrics and plastering all required significant attention, so our brilliant build team completely gutted and overhauled the property. The client was particularly excited to see the back of the bubble wallpaper, which was applied throughout the property.
The client was keen to add an impact to the hallway, so we built a curved feature landing, with matching bespoke handrail. This was offset by the traditional tongue and groove cabinetry behind, to once again find that blending of styles the client was after.
“I’d recommend K&L to anyone looking to achieve stunning and personalised interior design.”
